ARRIVING SLOWLY | NOW – 16 FEB 2025
At the heart of Arriving Slowly: Exploring the Abstract is a desire to enable audiences to connect slowly and deeply with works of abstraction. Viewers are invited to take their time, immersing themselves in the works to uncover the diverse meanings that unfold through slow, deliberate looking. This Ipswich Art Gallery exhibition aims to create a dialogue between 20 contemporary Australian artists working across the expanded definition of abstraction, with artists working across mediums and modes of display.

THE 11TH ASIA PACIFIC TRIENNIAL OF CONTEMPORARY ART | NOW - 27 APR 2025
Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA’s) flagship exhibition series will feature over 70 projects, encompassing the works of over 200 artists, makers and thinkers from across Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

DISCOVERING ANCIENT EGYPT | NOW - 7 AUG 2025
Journey back through time to explore the mysteries, artistry and rituals from one of the world's most captivating civilisations in Discovering Ancient Egypt at Queensland Museum. This remarkable exhibition from the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities (Rijksmuseum van Oudheden) offers a rare glimpse into the culture, daily life and beliefs practiced in ancient Egypt.

CMC ROCKS | 21 - 23 MAR

BRISBANE COMEDY FESTIVAL | 23 APR – 25 MAY
Laughter extravaganza, Brisbane Comedy Festival, returns with a with the best, brightest and funniest comedians featuring over 100 artists for five big belly-laugh weeks of entertainment hosted across the Brisbane Powerhouse, The Princess Theatre, The Tivoli and The Fortitude Music Hall.

KALBAR SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL | 2 – 4 MAY 
The much-anticipated annual Kalbar Sunflower Festival is back and bigger than ever, for a weekend of fun amongst their one million sunflowers! Kalbar is opening their fields so visitors can roam and take selfies amongst their flowers, pick their own perfect bunch, flower crown making, free kid's activities, art activations, animal petting, sensory garden and mini kid's maze. TOUR DE BRISBANE | 13 APR

BRISBANE TO GLADSTONE YACHT RACE | 18 APR
