BLOOM | 9 SEP – 1 OCT
Brisbane’s springtime is as swoon-worthy as ever and Queen Street Mall has a vibrant new floral installation to celebrate the season! Stationed out the front of Queens Plaza, Bloom is a large-scale 3D floral installation. Step inside and be wrapped in colourful flowers in this beautiful homage to spring. 

EX DE MEDICI: BEAUTIFUL WICKEDNESS | NOW – 2 OCT 
Explore the mixed media works of Australian artist, eX de Medici at GOMA. The exhibition features vibrant large-scale watercolours, portraits and wearable art which examine the artist’s central concerns.

MICHAEL ZAVROS: THE FAVOURITE | NOW – 2 OCT 
'The Favourite’ showcases 25 years of Zavros’ paintings, sculptures, photography and video in this contemporary exploration of his notions of quality and luxury, fashion and appearance. Immerse yourself in the captivating works of this leading Australian artist featured at GOMA. 

‘GLOW’ – ABORIGINAL ART EXHIBITION | NOW – 7 OCT
Mitchell Fine Art presents an exhibition of Aboriginal paintings that draw inspiration from seasonal changes and showcase artworks highlighting luminosity and vibrancy. These colourful artworks reflect the convergence between traditional iconography and modern aesthetics and palettes.

DISCOVER RACECOURSE ROAD | NOW – 17 OCT
Discover the character and charm of Racecourse Road through unique events and exclusive experiences. Dive into dining wellness, fashion, beauty and family fun in this historic precinct with a range of events on offer from 12 September through to 17 October.

EVERY BRILLIANT THING | 14 – 21 OCT
Embark on an uplifting theatrical journey of all the magical and mundane moments that make life worth living with the play, Every Brilliant Thing, at Metro Arts. Experience this intimate piece of storytelling that is equal parts whimsical and movingly nostalgic and downright funny.

SWAN LAKE | 24 – 28 OCT 
The Australian Ballet brings Swan Lake to QPAC for a limited viewing of the classic piece. Be entranced as skilled ballerinas tell the tale of this enduring love story through classical dance and choreography.

BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL | 26 OCT – 5 NOV 
Brisbane International Film Festival returns for its 29th year! Showcasing the best international and home-grown cinema in this 11-day extravaganza. Join Australian film personalities in conversation and celebration of all things film.

RING CYCLE | 1 – 23 DEC
Wagner’s Ring Cycle comes to Brisbane in this epic 15-hour opera set across 4 spectacular performances. Be captivated by this ethereal tale of maidens and men, gods and giants, dragons and dwarves, as the melodic voices of the world’s best performers transport you to another realm. 

FAIRY TALES | 2 DEC - 28 APR
Reconnect with centuries-old stories at this exhibition that brings childhood tales to life through sculpture, drawing, film and design. Learn the origins of classics and the ever-present themes that make these stories so loved. Live out your own fairy tale dreams at QAGOMA this summer.

CUSTOMS HOUSE ROSÉ GARDEN | FROM 21 SEP
Indulge in the flavours of France with premium sips and scrumptious delights on offer including their famous Moreton Bay bug croissants. Sit amongst the pink-hued domes that adorne Customs House's terrace and enjoy the sweeping views of the river and Story Bridge with a rosé in hand. Open on Thursday & Fridays from 4pm, Saturday & Sundays from 2pm.

TASTES OF MORETON BAY | NOW – 1 OCT
A month-long celebration of regional flavours where culinary delights are enjoyed while set amongst breathtaking landscapes of Moreton Bay. Local farmers and producers join forces with stunning venues and talented chefs to create experiences like no other.

NIGHT FEAST | 4 – 29 OCT
Spotlighting the best in Queensland’s culinary and art scene, Night Feast is returning for a Spring edition! The event will welcome a stellar line-up of chefs and restaurants, renowned bars serving delicious drinks, and an awe-inspiring art program.

SPOOKY PUTT PUTT | 15 SEP – 31 OCT
Spooky Putt Putt is back from the dead! Victoria Park’s putt putt course has transformed into a haunted hangout where ghosts, ghouls, witches and scarecrows reside. Fun for all ages, there are even boo-zy slushies on offer for those who dare! 

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AT MOB | 16 SEP – 2 OCT

Sporting events   

PLAYGRND SHOWDOWN | 29 SEPT – 1 OCT
Brisbane’s biggest basketball weekend showcasing the finest basketball talent from across the nation. This three-day event will include a FIBA 3x3 Lite Quest Tour, 5x5 competition, dunking competition, E-games, activations, live DJs and more.

QUEENSLAND PGA CHAMPIONSHIP | 2 – 5 NOV
QLD PGA Championship forms part of the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia and is a 72-hole stroke play with a 36 cut for the top 50 professionals plus ties. It will take place at Nudgee Golf Club and will see the nation’s top golfers compete in this epic four-day event.

AUSTRALIA PGA CHAMPIONSHIP | 23 – 26 NOV
The 2023 Fortinet Australian PGA Championship returns to Brisbane at the Royal Queensland Golf Club from 23 – 26 November. Witness a stellar field of Australian and International players as they compete for the Joe Kirkwood Cup.

BRISBANE INTERNATIONAL TENNIS | 31 DEC 2023 – 7 JAN 2024
World-class tennis is back in Queensland for 2024 with the return of the beloved Brisbane International. The combined WTA 500 and ATP 250 tournament will feature at the Queensland Tennis Centre with tickets on sale from 20 September.
