PETER AND THE STARCATCHER | NOW – 6 APR
The smash hit Broadway production, Peter and the Starcatcher, is flying into Brisbane! The theatrical masterpiece of Peter and the Starcatcher blurs the lines between reality and fantasy, traversing lands of curious creatures. Jump onboard this theatrical spectacle bursting with 100 unforgettable characters, live music and technical wizardry and discover the untold story of Neverland. 

THE 11TH ASIA PACIFIC TRIENNIAL OF CONTEMPORARY ART | NOW - 27 APR 
Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA’s) flagship exhibition series will feature over 70 projects, encompassing the works of over 200 artists, makers and thinkers from across Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

DISCOVERING ANCIENT EGYPT | NOW - 7 AUG 
Journey back through time to explore the mysteries, artistry and rituals from one of the world's most captivating civilisations in Discovering Ancient Egypt at Queensland Museum. This remarkable exhibition from the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities (Rijksmuseum van Oudheden) offers a rare glimpse into the culture, daily life and beliefs practiced in ancient Egypt. 

KENNETH MACMILLAN'S ROMEO AND JULIET | NOW - 29 MAR 
Kenneth MacMillan’s romantic masterpiece returns to set hearts alight. Shakespeare’s legendary tale takes us to Renaissance Italy where a young star-crossed couple fall in love on the streets of fair Verona. Amidst violence, passion, and feuding families, Romeo and Juliet’s love is immediate and intense, with tragedy following rapidly behind. MacMillan’s stunning and much-adored Shakespearean ballet is brought to life with passionate choreography, elegant costumes, striking sets, and Prokofiev’s iconic score.

RELIC | 28 - 30 MAR
Immersive experience, Relic, a daring reimagining of Jack Lister’s award-winning Still Life film trilogy invites audiences to experience art as never before, in a site-specific dance theatre creation that defies the boundaries between performance and visual art. Presented by Australasian Dance Collective at Urban Art Projects, Relic explores the interplay of mortality, fragility, youth and spirit.

PRECIOUS | 2 APR – AUTUMN 2026 
Prepare to be amazed with Museum of Brisbane's exhibition, Precious, showcasing the most awe-inspiring collections across Brisbane with more than 3,000 items from around 30 remarkable collections and collectors. From international dolls to Queensland Rugby League memorabilia, model ships to ornamental eggs, immerse yourself into the incredible stories of some of the prolific collectors of Brisbane, and get to know what makes a keepsake and collectible truly Precious

OCEAN FILM FESTIVAL TOUR | 2 –7 APR 
Designed to mesmerise and enthral, the Ocean Film Festival World Tour showcases a three-hour celebration of our oceans comprised of sublime footage taken above and below the water’s surface. The films feature captivating cinematography, complete with awe-inspiring underwater scenes and fast-paced wave sequences that have been captured from unbelievable vantage points. 

JAMES BOND - SKYFALL IN CONCERT | 4 APR 
Skyfall in Concert with Queensland Symphony Orchestra returns to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Experience composer Thomas Newman’s BAFTA-winning original score performed live by Queensland Symphony Orchestra in sync to the picture.

CIRQUE ALICE | 10 – 22 APR
Step into magical ‘Wonderland’ as Cirque Alice reimagines Lewis Carroll’s classic adventures with breathtaking twists and astonishing, gravity-defying feats. This magnificent spectacle features stunning performances by mesmerising aerialists, mind-bending contortionists, exquisite puppetry and special guest musical and comedic artists. A joyous acrobatic adventure filled with heart-stopping moments and unforgettable performances, Cirque Alice is a fantastical extravaganza for all ages. 

BALLET PRELJOCAJ – SWAN LAKE | 31 MAY - 7 JUN
Experience the breathtaking artistry of Ballet Preljocaj, a Swan Lake like no other. Renowned for pushing the boundaries of ballet, France’s leading contemporary choreographer Angelin Preljocaj masterfully reimagines Swan Lake, transforming this classic tale of love, betrayal and seduction into a modern-day tragedy. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness this remarkable company, performing live and exclusive to Brisbane as part of QPAC's 40th anniversary celebrations in 2025.

SAMFORD AND SURROUNDS ART TRAILS AND OPEN STUDIOS | 31 MAY – 22 JUN 
Over 50 artists across 26 studios, galleries and art spaces are coming together to share their art and creative practices, across the beautiful Samford and surrounds. Come and meet a practicing artist, part-take in a workshop, be inspired by the beautiful green landscapes, and enjoy the tastes of Samford’s local produce and eateries.

The much-anticipated annual Kalbar Sunflower Festival is back and bigger than ever, book in for a weekend of fun amongst one million sunflowers! The citywide street art festival is taking over Brisbane, featuring giant murals, bright artworks and showcasing iconic locations with public art.

AFFORDABLE ART FAIR | 8 – 11 MAY 
Pick out the perfect piece, where art lovers can buy an original or add to their collections, discover a new favourite artist or reconnect with some of the best and brightest in the Australian art world. The global art phenomenon, Affordable Art Fair, returns to Brisbane with a four-day celebration of art at Brisbane Showgrounds from 8 – 11 May 2025. 

PANIYIRI GREEK FESTIVAL | 17 – 18 MAY
The Paniyiri Greek Festival invites people from all backgrounds to celebrate and immerse themselves in Greek culture. The festival is a two-day spectacular event of food, dance, music, and art that will transport you to Greece through the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the festival.

SCENIC RIM EAT LOCAL MONTH | 1 – 29 JUN
Scenic Rim Eat Local Month is your opportunity to eat your way through the region’s best produce from local farms, wineries and food stories of the Scenic Rim. The extraordinary month-long program of farm-gate events, culinary experiences and mini-festivals bring to life a celebration of paddock-to-plate experiences to suit foodies of all ages. BILLIE JEAN KING CUP | 10 – 12 APR 
The Billie Jean King Cup Qualifier, the World Cup of Tennis, returns to Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane this April! Don't miss your chance to witness thrilling world-class tennis as Australia’s top women’s players take on Kazakhstan and Colombia in an electrifying battle for a spot in the finals.

2025 AUSTRALIAN SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS | 21 - 24 APR 
The largest annual event on the Swimming Australia calendar, the Australian Swimming Championships will attract thousands of athletes and spectators to witness some of Australia’s most elite Olympic and Paralympic athletes and serve as the lead up event for the Australian Trials.

2025 AMPOL WOMEN'S STATE OF ORIGIN GAME 1 | 1 MAY 
Australia’s greatest sporting rivalry is back, as the 2025 Ampol Women’s State of Origin Series kicks off on the eve of Magic Round. Be there to witness an unreal display of real rivalry and athleticism as the game’s best female players square off in the ultimate fight for state pride.

NRL MAGIC ROUND | 2 – 4 MAY 
Brisbane’s most iconic sporting event, the NRL Magic Round, is back this May at Suncorp Stadium! The city comes alive with excitement as all 16 teams descend on Brisbane to battle it out in an unforgettable weekend of rugby league action.

TORIAN PRO | 30 MAY – 1 JUN 
Feel the energy as elite CrossFit athletes from Oceania showcase the pinnacle of athletic performance and community spirit. This annual event brings together CrossFit Athletes and fans from across the region to celebrate fitness and community.

THE BRITISH & IRISH LIONS VS QUEENSLAND REDS | 2 JUL & 19 JUL 
The British and Irish Lions will return to Australia to take on the Queensland Reds at Suncorp Stadium. The highly anticipated and in-demand festival of Rugby will see the Lions play nine matches in Australia, with three Tests against the Wallabies and six tour games around the country. Whether you can grab up some tickets or head to one of our iconic sport bars, this is going to be a game with atmosphere you don’t want to miss.

BRISBANE CYCLING FESTIVAL | NOW – 13 APR
It's time to experience the largest multi-discipline cycling event in the number one cycling destination, Brisbane! From the elite right through to mass participation events there is something for every cyclist to experience with Brisbane Cycling Festival.

TOUR DE BRISBANE | 13 APR 
The Tour de Brisbane returns in 2025, bringing over 110km of fully closed city roads to explore. Based at the Brisbane Showgrounds, this is a ride you won’t want to miss! With a range of distances and challenges to suit everyone, there’s something to get every cyclist moving. Registrations are essential—don’t miss out!

BRISBANE TO GLADSTONE YACHT RACE | 18 APR  
The iconic Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race returns for its 77th edition this Easter. Spanning 308 nautical miles, this renowned event is a highlight of the southern hemisphere’s blue water racing calendar. Witness the thrill of competition as the fleet of racing yachts departs from Moreton Bay—an unmissable spectacle of skill and determination.

MORETON BAY RUNNING FESIVAL | 10 MAY 
Bring the whole crew along to enjoy the perfect running conditions and cooler evening temperatures on the gorgeous Moreton Bay foreshore for the Moreton Bay Running Festival. Distances available for all running (and walking) abilities. 

STRADDIE SALUTE TRIATHLON FESTIVAL | 17 – 18 MAY
The Straddie Salute Triathlon Festival is a unique destination event in one of nature's most spectacular playgrounds, North Stradbroke Island/ Minjerribah. The stunning natural terrain course features a swim in the crystal clear waters, a cycle through beautiful native bush and a scenic coastal run. Bluey’s World is a one-of-a-kind immersive experience at the Northshore Pavilion in Brisbane, Queensland, where you can play the Bluey way - for real life! WORLD SCIENCE FESTIVAL BRISBANE | NOW – 30 MAR
Luminaries of science from across the world present the beauty, complexity and importance of science through diverse, multidisciplinary programming and conversations at this stimulating event. The 2025 festival will showcase an exciting program, bringing together local, national and international thought leaders to address some of the most pressing scientific questions of our time. WSFB will explore a range of focus areas, including all things Quantum, First Nations knowledges, neuroscience, the natural world, space travel, robotics, the future of food and more!

SUPERLUMINAL | NOW – 30 MAR 
A blend of bold visual design, collaborative storytelling and interactive play, World Science Festival Brisbane presents Patch Theatre’s Queensland debut of Superluminal, an enchanting installation for children and their families. Superluminal is an engaging experience designed to ignite children’s curiosity. A theatrical installation full of Patch’s renowned interactive light play, Superluminal investigates nature’s extraordinary creatures, systems and beauty, and how time shapes them. 

MICRO MUSEUM | NOW - AUTUMN
For maximum fun for mini museumgoers, the curators of tomorrow are invited to bring their imagination to life at Museum of Brisbane’s Micro Museum, offering immersive and interactive experiences. Little art lovers of all ages are encouraged to get hands-on and create their own 'Micro Museum' where children can select, sort and arrange their own curated collections from a huge range of vintage treasures. 

SCENIC RIM FARM GATE TRAIL | 30 MAR & 20 JUL 
Overflowing larders right on the farm, freshly picked produce from a paddock you can see, preserved goods made with love, farm tours, wine tastings and more are just some of the highlights you can expect on the Scenic Rim Farm Gate Trails hosted on 30 March and 20 July. 

PEPPA PIG'S FUN DAY OUT LIVE | 17 – 19 APR 
Prepare to sing and dance with colourful scarecrows, feed the penguins, build big sandcastles, and even swim in the sea! Packed full of songs, dance and muddy puddles, Peppa Pig’s Fun Day Out LIVE! guarantees giggles and snorts for all Peppa fans and is a perfect introduction to theatre.

BRISBANE TRUCK SHOW | 15 – 18 MAY 
The Brisbane Truck Show is one of the biggest and most exciting trucking events, promising the biggest line-up of trucks, trailers, components, equipment and technology in the Southern Hemisphere – all of the big brands under one roof. Hosted at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC), this massive event showcases the latest in heavy vehicle technology, equipment, and innovation.

REDLANDS COAST ADVENTUREFEST FUN DAY | 17 MAY 
Redlands Coast AdventureFest is an exciting program of events and activities including live stage entertainment, family-friendly games, culinary experiences, wildlife shoes and rides and fun.
