Black Hide Steakhouse

On The City’s fringe along Caxton Street, Black Hide Steakhouse is the place to wow a crowd. The restaurant offers four private dining venues on site; the intimate Wagyu Room and Stanbroke Room, which can each seat up to six diners; the standout Knife Room for 30 seated and 50 standing guests; and the grand Black Hide Room with space for 10 to 20 of your nearest and dearest. The group bookings menu offers a choice of three- or four-course set menus that cater for different dietary needs as well as scalable beverage packages.

Boom Boom Room

The Boom Boom Room is a Japanese restaurant and bar that always brings the good times. Located on a basement level in The City, you can make your function even more exclusive in one of the venue’s three plush and private dining rooms. Select from the Trumpet Room for seven seated or 30 cocktail-style, The Vaults for 18 seated or 30 standing, or book the entire Boom Boom Room to accommodate 80 seated guests or 300 for a cocktail event. With everything from otsumami (cocktail) menus to banquet and beverage packages available, covering all dietaries, the team will ensure your function goes off with a bang.

Amid the six onsite function spaces within the heritage-listed Customs House, The Reid Dining Room stands out with its red walls and brass lighting from the turn of last century. Donna Chang

Located upstairs from the Boom Boom Room, Donna Chang modern Chinese restaurant is a stylish lesson in elegant refinement with moreish meals. The sumptuous décor and delicious cuisine lend themselves to the celebration of special events. Ascend to the upper level to host an event in one of three Mezzanine Rooms, catering for 18 guests on a long table to two tables for 20 and 29 guests across three tables. Two rooms can also be joined to accommodate up to 38 seated diners. The Function Package offers a choice of two banquet menus that showcase highlights of the main menu with scalable beverage packages to match.

Jumbo Thai Restaurant & Bar

Situated above the Embassy Hotel, Jumbo Thai does a roaring trade in authentic Thai dishes. It also offers two premium private dining rooms, which can each accommodate up to 12 seated guests or a combined 24 diners in a traditional format or 30 for cocktail events. Jumbo Thai offers functions packages with banquet and canapé menu options plus drinks packages. The team can also accommodate dietary needs within the group banquet menus.

Leonards Bar & Bistro

A favourite function location, Leonards’ private dining room is located downstairs from the main restaurant and has a discreet exclusive entrance from the end of Spencer Lane. With its own private bar and seating up to 24 on a long table or 40 for a stand-up event, Leonards’ private room offers a shared dining or set menu with your own bar and wait staff plus beverage package options. Leonards will also cater for all dietary requirements.

Seating up to 40 on a long table or up to 24 on three separate tables, The Cellar has a minimum spend to book. Or opt for the Wine Room. For the times when only a classic steakhouse will cut it, Walter’s is your stylish standby. The popular restaurant offers a variety of set menus and two sumptuous private dining spaces for groups from 15 people to a crowd of 60.
