St Lucia Golf Links is on the cusp of the city, so whether you’re staying sky high in one in the city centre, or something more lowkey and intimate, this course will be your local.
The first public golf course to open in Brisbane in 70 years, Minnippi Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course set to open in September 2023. Located in Cannon Hill, this is the only public golf course south of the Brisbane River – perfect for those looking to grab a riverside drink after with Revel Brewing Co and Bavay Distillery just minutes away at the heritage-restored Rivermakers precinct.
Brisbane has plentiful private golf courses, each with strong reciprocal rights to other courses so if you’re a member in your hometown, there’s a good chance you’ll have access to play at one of these during your visit.
The course for this year’s BMW Australian PGA Championships, Royal Queensland Golf Club is the state's premier golf course. Established in 1920, the course features 18 holes on a lush 170 hectares and challenges golfers to develop nuanced strategies for each hole. Close by is Eat Street Northshore, an eclectic hub of shipping containers fitted out with micro restaurants and shops. Stop by after your game to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the live entertainment.
Brisbane’s original golf course, The Brisbane Golf Club is another of Australia’s top 100 golf courses and is undoubtedly one of the city’s best-known. Be sure to experience the 19th hole at one of the funky haunts nearby like Helios Brewing or Slipstream Brewing Co.

The home of two 18-hole golf courses, Nudgee Golf Club has the honour of hosting the Queensland PGA on their championship course, The Kurrai, from 2 – 5 November.
