The Scenic Rim is home to many incredible farmers who invite visitors to stay at their farm gate, including the on-site 19th-century cottage at Tommerup’s Dairy Farm. Guests are encouraged to bottle-feed the calves, collect vegetables for dinner, spread grains for the chickens, and smash pumpkins for the rowdy pigs. On your way to your farm stay swing by Towri Sheep Farm for a truly unique animal encounter.

Over at Darlington Grove, you can stay in what used to be a functioning milking Dairy Shed. Now fully renovated and featuring a beautifully decorated bedroom with incredible mountain views and an open-air kitchen, you’ll have access to all animal enclosures and paddocks to feed the animals and be able to explore the 100 acres of private farm and forest.

When you’re not feeding friendly livestock, every age will enjoy soaking in the tranquillity and toasting marshmallows around the campfire at the end of the day.
