The LCA NRL Wheelchair Championships is a landmark event in Australian sport, celebrating the dynamic and inclusive nature of Wheelchair Rugby League.

Held at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, this inaugural championship brings together seven elite teams from across Australia and New Zealand, including state and affiliate squads, all competing for the prestigious Joseph Chidiac Cup.

Over three thrilling days, spectators will witness the speed, strategy, and physical intensity that define Wheelchair Rugby League. The round-robin format ensures non-stop action, showcasing both seasoned athletes and rising stars. The event not only highlights athletic excellence but also promotes inclusivity, accessibility, and community spirit within the sport.

Adding to the excitement, the Championships are bookended by two Ashes Test matches between the Australian Wheelaroos and England, further elevating the profile of wheelchair rugby league on the international stage.
