Cowboys and Country at Historic Rivermill

Pull on your boots and round up your favourite people for Cowboys & Country at Historic Rivermill.

Only 30 minutes from central Gold Coast, on the banks of the Coomera River, Historic Rivermill goes western for the day, with country music, cowboy traditions, animal encounters and outdoor fun for the whole family.

Saturday 7 November is the Cowboys & Country special: the Country Music & Spit Roast Festival with Piper Butcher. The Newcastle singer-songwriter, Australian Idol Top 24 and CMAA Young Achiever of the Year 2024, performs live at 11:30am. Through the day visitors can enjoy a spit roast, line dancing with no partner needed, a whip cracking show, a reptile show and an open mic for anyone who fancies a song.

There are also led horse rides, alpaca and animal feeding, turtle feeding at the river jetty, a jumping castle and kids' playground, and the café serves breakfast, with lunch from midday. Entry and parking are free on 7 November.

On Saturday 5 December the full Cowboys & Country day returns, with line dancing, the mechanical bull, whip cracking, horse rides, animal and turtle feeding, the jumping castle and market stalls from local growers and makers, plus the café and barbecue.

Free entry. Parking on 5 December is per vehicle. Charges apply to selected activities, food and drinks.
