Pottery Workshop - Christmas Cone Creations

Join Carys in the studio for four hours of festive clay making and transform a simple ceramic form into a character or creation entirely of your own.

You'll begin with a pre-made, leather-hard cone of white clay, giving you the perfect starting point to concentrate on the creative part - building, sculpting, adding texture and decorating.

Turn your cone into a Santa, snowman, angel, gnome or Christmas tree, create a whimsical festive character, or take the form in a completely different direction.

This is one of our longer four-hour workshops, designed for those who love to slow down and get lost in the details. You'll have plenty of time to build onto your form, sculpt faces and features, add clothing, foliage and embellishments, carve into the surface and really finesse your creation.

Carys will demonstrate a range of handbuilding, sculpting and surface decoration techniques, and you'll have access to underglazes, tissue transfers, stamps, textures and clay for adding your own sculpted elements.

You can keep your piece beautifully simple or go all out - the cone is simply your starting point.
