No Lights No Lycra

11 MARCH - 1 APRIL 2026

Redland Performing Arts Centre

Lights Out, Let's Dance!

No Lights No Lycra is the original dance in the dark movement proven to make you feel better.

No Lights No Lycra Redlands Coast is thrilled to bring the joy of dancing in a safe, friendly, non-judgemental, drug and alcohol-free atmosphere back to RPAC to get you moving in March!

The lights go out, we crank the tunes—and you dance like nobody's watching. There's no light, no lycra, no teacher, no steps to learn, no technique, just free movement.

We play a bit of everything, from rock, pop, swing, folk, hip hop, soul, disco, cheesy top 40, and dance floor classics across the decades - the song list varies weekly. You can always sit out for a song or step-tap on the spot if anything doesn't take your fancy.

While it is dark, No Lights No Lycra is for dancing on your own, so people dance independently and it's completely non-contact.

Established in 2009, there are over 70 No Lights, No Lycra ambassadors across every major City in Australia and regional towns, with outposts in cities like Tokyo, Glasgow, Texas, New York, London, and Auckland. Redlanders have been dancing in the dark for over four years now.

Lights out, let's dance! There's room for you on our dance floor.
