The Star Stradbroke Day

Six weeks of world-class thoroughbred racing draws to a close today at The Star Stradbroke Day, the grand finale and jewel in the crown of Brisbane Racing Club's The Star Stradbroke Season 2024.

The coveted Group 1 The Star Stradbroke Handicap, Queensland's iconic sprint worth AUD3 million in prizemoney and one of the world's Top 100 races, headlines the day. Also run will be the Group 1 AUD1 million Ladbrokes J.J. Atkins and the Group 2 AUD1.2 million Sky Racing Q22, with the Q22 winner securing automatic entry into the Caulfield Cup.

‘Black and white with a touch of red’ is the day's fashion theme and judges in the Fashions on the Field competition will be looking for the wow factor among entrants. Luxe prizes will be awarded to the top three best dressed.

Tickets are selling fast for the delicious trackside food and beverage packages available in a range of locations, from Eagle Farm Racecourse's manicured public lawns to the elegant surrounds of private spaces and marquees. Fantastic entertainment is also lined up for the public lawn stage once the racing ends.
