Buddy The Concert - Celebrating the hits of Buddy Holly

17 OCTOBER 2025

Royal Quarters - Royal Hotel Nundah

Buddy the Concert is a dynamic two-hour celebration of one of rock 'n' roll's true pioneers — Buddy Holly. In just two short years before his tragic death in a 1959 plane crash — "the day the music died" — Holly delivered over 20 Top 40 hits and changed music forever. His influence continues to echo through the work of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Queen, and Elton John.

This high-energy stage show features all of Holly's biggest hits — Peggy Sue, That'll Be the Day, Rave On, Oh Boy, It's So Easy, and many more. From faithful recreations to fresh reimaginings like a blues-infused Well…All Right, the performance is packed with nostalgia, passion, and musical brilliance. With rave reviews across Australia and internationally, the show is a must-see for rock 'n' roll fans of all ages.

Taking centre stage is Scott "Buddy" Cameron, widely regarded as the world's leading Buddy Holly tribute artist. A childhood guitar prodigy, Scott shared stages with icons like Tommy Emmanuel, Keith Urban, Slim Dusty, Ross Wilson, and more. In 2004, he answered a casting call for Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and landed the lead role thanks to his uncanny resemblance, authentic vocal style, and standout musicianship.
