Queensland Lace Guild Exhibition

5 - 30 SEPTEMBER 2025

Caboolture Historical Village

The Queensland Lace Guild exhibition showcases pieces of historical lace, from different regions of the world, with origins of styles highlighted. Along with samples of the various pattern techniques, the exhibition also includes lacemaking with modern and recycled materials.

With some techniques of lacemaking endangered of disappearing from the craft and textile industry the Lace Guild, both locally and Australia wide, are passionate about sharing this unique craft.

Explore the process of lacemaking in all its complexity, the attention to detail, the tools used to create, and the history of its origins in the 16th century. Embrace the opportunity to interact with members of the Guild and try your hand on demonstration days.

Delve into the world of lace, ask about workshops and enjoy a Devonshire Tea or Light Lunch at the Caboolture Historical Village as part of your visit to the Queensland Lace Guild Exhibition.
