Connection: An Exhibition of Art and Friendship

Discover the art - and the friendships behind it - of the Wednesday ART Sistas at Obsidian Bide: Art Gallery & Studio on Bribie Island.

Connection brings together a group of women who met through shared art classes and found a lasting connection through creativity, encouragement and laughter. Known as the Wednesday ART Sistas, the artists each bring their own style and personal stories to an exhibition spanning painting, drawing and mixed media.

Their works explore nature, people, memories and the beauty of everyday life. For many, making art marks a return to a long-held passion or an opportunity to find renewed confidence and creative expression.

Join the artists for the opening celebration on Sunday 8 November, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Creative workshops with exhibiting artist Jen Dupree will also be held on Saturday 14 November and Sunday 22 November, from 10 am to 12.30 pm. Workshops are suitable for all ages (10 and over) cost $20 per person and require bookings.

Located in Bongaree, close to the jetty and Brennan Park, the gallery makes an inviting stop during a day out on Bribie Island.
