Births, Deaths and Marriages

Births, deaths and marriages are major life events. How we view and mark them has been shaped by customs, changing fashion, social influences, and world events.

From how World War I changed mourning practices to the meaning behind silver baby gifts, this exhibition will shed light on the rituals, traditions and beliefs behind the experiences we all share.

It will feature a fascinating array of objects from our museum collection along with loans from the community. Exhibition developed by City of Moreton Bay.

The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
