Musicians who play flute, viola, piano, or percussion instruments are invited to join a workshop followed by a live performance in the Butterbox Theatre.

The workshop aims to develop skills in small ensemble playing, as well as provide an opportunity to explore and interpret traditional Asian music arranged for modern Western orchestral instruments. Discover the rich traditions of Asian folksongs in two vibrant, hands-on workshops led by Dr. Karen Lonsdale.

Explore newly published arrangements that have delighted audiences in Australia and Malaysia! Play. Learn. Connect. Open to music teachers, students, and community musicians, this dynamic session offers a rare opportunity to rehearse and perform high-quality arrangements that reflect Asia's rich musical traditions in a collaborative, supportive setting. Enjoy a special performance featuring the newly published arrangements, an uplifting celebration of Asian culture, creativity, and community through music!

Concert performers include Dr Karen Lonsdale on flute, Brijette Tubb on flute, Tim Li on piano, Ravikesh Singh on percussion and Francis Gilfedder on percussion. Presented by Dr Karen Lonsdale.
