Lamenting the chronic shortage of real guitar rock and roll afflicting this ever fracturing planet, ex-Radio Birdman, Hitmen, New Christs and Screaming Tribesmen guitarist Chris Masuak is returning to Australia to do something about it.
Chris Masuak's Dog Soldier will land at Banshee's Bar and Artspace in Ipswich.
Supports will be The Mick Medew and Ursula 4 (led by Masuak's old Screaming Tribesmen bandmate Mick Medew) and Gold Coast garage rockers The Spivs.
It's been more than two years since Masuak left his adopted home of Spain and came back to his longtime old stamping ground, of Australia but he hasn't been idle.
Chris Masuak's Dog Solider (the band) will play songs from the album (of the same name) on their Australian tour, as well as a swag of killer music from Klondike's notable former bands and solo career.
Bassist Tony Bambach is unavailable for this tour due to work commitments, so Masuak and drummer Stuart Wilson (New Christs, Lime Spiders, Van Ruin, Aberration) are being joined by Phil Hall (Sardine V, Dropbears, Roddy Ray'Da & The Surfin' Caesars, Lime Spiders and John Kennedy's '68 Comeback Special).
Expect the tour (and the album on I-94 Bar Records) to shake some action and burn some eyes.
