The Imbibis Gin and Tonic Masterclass

Discover the art of the perfect Gin & Tonic in this guided tasting experience at Imbibis Artisan Spirits in Ipswich.

This immersive masterclass explores the history of tonic water and its evolution from medicinal mixer to an essential partner in modern gin. Guests will gain insight into how tonic styles influence aroma, flavour and mouthfeel — often transforming the character of the same gin.

Participants will sample six contemporary tonic waters (approximately 250ml each) paired with their choice of 200ml of Imbibis gin. Gin selections include Clarity, Three Myrtles, Passion Pink or Jacaranda.

Throughout the session, guests will taste, compare and discuss how each tonic alters the balance and flavour profile of the gin. The experience provides practical knowledge to help participants confidently select tonic pairings in the future.

At the conclusion of the masterclass, guests will take home their selected gin and tonic samples.

This small-group experience is designed for those interested in flavour discovery, local craft spirits and guided tasting education.
