Siliceous Award for Ceramic Excellence

Explore, learn, and discover modern ceramics with Ceramic Arts Queensland at the Ipswich Community Art Gallery in October.

Each Saturday of the event, Ceramic Arts Queensland will be hosting a pop-up studio outside the Community Art Gallery. A professional artist will demonstrate throwing clay on a potter’s wheel and then you can try a hands-on wheel-throwing session.

Hear from ceramic artists about their craft in one of the floor talks and enjoy a guided tour through the prestigious contemporary ceramic art exhibition ‘Siliceous – Award for Ceramic Excellence’, featuring the best of ceramic art from around Australia.
