A very special Pioneer Day with Bush Poets Peter Frazer and Tony Caswell with any other poets who would like to join them.
Peter Frazer is the author of 'Beyond the Boundary Gate', is one of the founders of the Toowoomba Bush Poets and believes poetry is creating pictures with words in the minds of listeners and readers.
Tony Caswell is a well-known Ipswich bush poet who has performed his poems at the Marburg Poets in the Park event and others.
Breakfast will be available for purchase from the Redbank Plains RSL food van, as will lunches.
Poetry will begin at 9am. Mr. Magic will be performing for the children and young at heart after 11am. The Miner Chords will entertain with song. The Gatton Lapidary Club will have a stall and TJ's Leatherwork will show visitors how to plat leather. There will be games and activities for the family during the afternoon, the museum will be open and the blacksmiths will be working, as will some of the associated groups - Spinners, Weavers, Fibre Artisans of Ipswich, Ipswich Genealogical Society and the Historical Motorcycle Club of Queensland - Ipswich Area.
