Manikin Making Art Workshop
The Manikin Making Workshop is an arts and craft workshop to highlight the importance of representation in society.
The workshop is for all ages, genders and cultural backgrounds to participate.
Art participants will receive a 30cm tall wooden manikin, possum fur and emu feathers on arrival. Paint and other materials are also provided to design a manikin or doll to take home.
The outcome of the workshop is for all participants to embrace themselves through the design of their manikin or doll. Seeing positive representations in society boosts confidence, pride for an individual self as well as pride for cultural backgrounds.
