Intermediate Cyanotype Photogram workshop

30 JUNE 2024

Ipswich Art Workshop

Cyanotypes, commonly known as blueprints, sun prints, or camera-less photography is a simple and fun process to make prints from objects or digital negatives using a light sensitive solution and UV light. LeAnne will cover the basics of making a print and show participants how they can control the medium to get the best prints possible from the materials you're working with. You will also focus on colour variations using bleaching and natural toning to achieve a range of colours including yellows, browns, purple and greens.

After learning the basics and making your initial test prints of a range of objects you will have plenty of time to play and work at your own pace to create as many prints as you can in the timeframe.

You are welcome to bring your own small objects to make prints with - old lace, translucent objects, digital negatives, flora from your garden etc.

Places are limited. Aprons will be supplied - please don't wear white clothing. Bring a notebook and pen.

Arrive at 9.45 am for tea, coffee and pastries and the workshop will begin at 10 am.
