Verdi Requiem

2 - 4 OCTOBER 2025

Concert Hall, QPAC

If you’re hanging out for a mammoth vocal event in 2025, this is it. Not only do they have the Brisbane Chamber Choir chorus joining them on stage – they’ve also invited four top-tier soloists to sing alongside the orchestra in this impassioned performance of Verdi’s Requiem.

The Italian composer dedicated this colossal Requiem to Alessandro Manzoni – an author whose work he absolutely adored. Verdi himself conducted the mass when it was first performed in Milan, 1874. Now, Italian cellist-conductor Umberto Clerici stands at the podium to present this history-defying music with Queensland Symphony Orchestra and their very special vocal guests.
