Unsung Heroes Gala

28 MARCH 2026

Fortitude Music Hall

Across Australia, more than 3 million unpaid carers quietly hold families together. Those who are supporting children with disabilities, partners with chronic illness, ageing parents and loved ones in crisis do this work often without recognition, respite or emotional support, and frequently at great cost to their own mental health.

In 2026, those carers are placed firmly at the center of the spotlight. Presented by The Carers Foundation Australia, in partnership with Performance Studios, the Unsung Heroes Gala honouring unpaid carers across the country will be held on Saturday 28 March 2026 at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane. This year's Gala is also marked by the launch of the special anthem created specifically for carers by The Carers Foundation Ambassador and The Voice Australia's first season alumnus, Darren Percival.

Unsung Heroes is a night to acknowledge the emotional exhaustion, isolation and invisible labor carers carry every day, and to ensure they are no longer expected to cope alone. The event brings together community and business leaders who step onto the stage as "Singing Heroes" raising vital funds to support carers' wellbeing while making sure their stories are heard.
