Queensland Choir presents from Darkness into Light Concert

Moving from shadow into radiance, this program traces a human journey of grief, hope, and renewal. Fauré's Requiem in D minor, Op. 48 offers a vision of peace and gentle consolation, transforming darkness not through fear, but through serenity and grace.

Elaine Hagenberg's Illuminare continues this arc, awakening a luminous call to light, unity, and joy. Together, these works invite listeners into a profound musical pilgrimage—one that affirms compassion, resilience, and the quiet triumph of light over darkness.

1. Gabriel Fauré - Requiem in D minor, Op. 48 and Gabriel Fauré - Cantique de Jean Racine

The Qld Choir continues to create its own history with Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine to be performed by The Queensland Choir's Choral Scholars.

2. Elaine Hagenberg - Illuminare

Soloist for this concert is Jia-Peng Yeung Baritone, Sinfonia of St Andrews Orchestra and conducted by Dr. Robert Stewart.
