World Science Festival Brisbane

20 - 29 MARCH 2026

Queensland Museum

Over the past decade, World Science Festival Brisbane (WSFB) has celebrated science and creativity with audiences across the state. From mind-blowing discussions to interactive experiences, the festival has made science accessible, exciting and fun for more than 2 million people. Whether you're a lifelong science enthusiast or are just starting to explore, WSFB has plenty to spark your curiosity.

The festival was founded in 2008 by the renowned physicist Professor Brian Greene and Emmy award-winning journalist Tracy Day in New York, with the mission to ignite public curiosity about science and its role in shaping our future. A production of the World Science Foundation, a not-for-profit based in New York, the festival has inspired millions globally. Since its launch in Brisbane in 2016, WSFB has brought some of the world's greatest minds to Queensland, deepening the public's connection to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and changing how people engage with science.

Whether you're a lifelong science enthusiast or just beginning to explore the field, WSFB invites everyone to join in this celebration of discovery and curiosity.

World Science Festival Brisbane is presented by Queensland Museum and the Queensland Government.
