Brisbane Writers Festival
Brisbane Writers Festival will be held from 9-12 October 2025 at the Brisbane Powerhouse in New Farm.
As Australia’s oldest continuous writers’ festival, BWF has a long and storied history of connecting communities, showcasing creativity and finding just the right words.
Each year, they welcome thousands of readers and writers to Brisbane to celebrate books, spark ideas and start conversations. With a diverse program of author panels, speeches, performances and more – including the schools and YA programs for younger readers – BWF has a story for everyone.
- Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia)
- Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
