Terracotta Warriors: Immortality & Empire

11 JUNE - 31 OCTOBER 2027

Queensland Museum Kurila

Journey to ancient China and come face to face with the imperial army that time could not defeat. More than 2,000 years old, the Terracotta Warriors are one of the great archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.

Amassed for the tomb of China's first emperor, Qin Shihuang, the warriors represent one man's ambition, power and obsession with immortality.

This epic saga of political and social transformation spanned a millennium, and continues to reverberate across the globe today.

See the awe-inspiring story of the Qin come to life through incredible artefacts and a selection of warriors that once stood among the 8,000-strong army outside the emperor's tomb.

This international exhibition is presented in partnership with Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, Shaanxi Cultural Heritage Promotion Center, the Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum Site Museum in collaboration with National Museum of Australia and Queensland Museum.
