Stories You Wear – Opening Day

22 NOVEMBER 2025

Museum of Brisbane

Come celebrate the opening of Stories You Wear: Magpie Goose, a bold new exhibition that brings First Peoples stories to life.

Step into an afternoon of storytelling and hands-on creativity. Hear from the artists behind Magpie Goose's recent Quandamooka collection in an insightful panel discussion. Take part in a drop-in weaving workshop facilitated by Ngugi artists Sonja and Elisa Jane Carmichael. Immerse yourself in the exhibition through a special performance by rapper, singer, spoken-word poet, and MoB Artist in Residence, Sachém Parkin-Owens.

Stories You Wear: Magpie Goose is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
MoB's Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC.
