Almost everyone experiences at some time the feeling of loneliness. Even if you have family, friends, and other good conditions, you can still feel isolated or misunderstood and suffer from loneliness; yearning to feel a deeper sense of connection with others. At times the weight of loneliness can feel immense and difficult to overcome.
Using Buddhist teachings and meditations, you can heal your feelings of loneliness by recognizing that the perception of ourselves as separate from others is an illusion. In truth, everyone is naturally and profoundly interconnected. In this workshop, Gen Ani, Buddhist nun and resident teacher of KMC Brisbane, will explain how by learning to understand and feel this connection and will reduce your sense of isolation. In this way you can allow a natural closeness and authentic love for others to arise even if you find yourself at times physically alone.
