One of rugby league's biggest days is coming to Brisbane this November, and the excitement of finals fever won't be limited to the stadium.
As the 2026 Rugby League World Cup Grand Finals take over Suncorp Stadium on 15 November, King George Square will come alive with Brisbane Celebrates Pacific Cultures, a free, one-day celebration of Pacific culture and community in the heart of Brisbane City.
Presented by Brisbane City Council and Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA), the family-friendly event will bring together locals and visitors for a vibrant day of food, music, culture and rugby league.
Enjoy food and market stalls, cultural performances from Pacific Island communities, interactive workshops, rugby league activities and more, all celebrating the cultures and communities that contribute so much to Brisbane.
Whether you're heading to the Grand Finals, spending the day in the city or looking for a free family outing, King George Square is the place to be on 15 November.
The event has been shaped through consultation with members of Brisbane's Pacific community, including Imeleta Lia-Norris from Pasifika Families Inc., Vanessa Gordon, Inosi Kania from Fiji Community Association Queensland, and Pacific Island Council Queensland.
Bring your family and friends and join us as Brisbane comes together to celebrate Pacific cultures on a huge day for rugby league.
