Join local artist Tash Scott (Spotti Clogg Art) in creating a unique hand-cut, silk print lino from a black and white square image of your choice. Learn the tactile joy of carving, inking and printing by hand onto high-quality Kozo print paper with Sakura ink. Tash will also help you frame your artwork ready to hang or gift.
Participants need to provide their image in advance, bring a notebook and pen, wear old clothes and closed-toe shoes, and be aware that the studio is only accessible by stairs.
The workshop will take place on May 6th, from 1-4 pm, at Studio on Brunswick. All materials, equipment, tea, coffee, water, and aprons will be provided. Those who book both morning and afternoon sessions receive lunch.
Tash will teach you how to select an image, carve your reversed design, hand print using quality printmakers ink on high-quality paper, and share tips and tricks to create beautiful wall art suitable for all levels.
