Bigsound The Goolwal Garden

Bigsound returns to Fortitude Valley for another year, including the ever popular First Nations-led program, Goolwal Goolwal, a dynamic program that celebrates culture, creativity and connection. Translating to 'big sound' in Yuggera language, the program is filled with perfectly curated events and cultural experiences of live performances, panels, workshops and more.

And at the heart of it all – The Goolwal Garden – Bigsound 's dedicated First Nation's space, proudly hosted by us at The Sound Garden for another year! Join us as we create a place to gather, connect and reflect. Throughout Bigsound , downstairs will fill with live music, showcases and conversations, or head upstairs around our indoor tree to enjoy a quieter space for workshops, art displays and a cuppa.

Entry to the Goolwal Garden is free until 5:30 pm daily, with ticketed events continuing into the night. Join in at Bigsound to enjoy all there is to offer as The Sound Garden transforms into a celebration of First Nations culture.
