Baby Massage Demonstration for Parents

The Infant Massage Information Service (IMIS) is an Australian organisation specialising in professional infant massage education. Throughout 2026, IMIS will be offering free infant massage demonstration sessions for parents and their babies at selected locations across Australia.

These relaxed, informative sessions provide an opportunity to learn simple infant massage techniques that can be incorporated into your everyday routine at home. Parents will also receive practical information about choosing suitable massage products, recognising and responding to their baby's individual cues during massage, and will have the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive environment.

Research has shown that infant massage may help reduce crying, support sleep, encourage relaxation and strengthen the parent-baby relationship. Studies have also identified a range of potential physical and developmental benefits for babies.

Parents are invited to attend with their baby, and expectant parents in their third trimester of pregnancy are also welcome.

Places are limited and bookings are essential.
