25th Annual MS Moonlight Walk
To celebrate the 25th annual MS Moonlight Walk anniversary, the event has been planned to be bigger and better than ever, with live music and entertainment, glow performances along the route and of course, the event’s signature sea of lanterns to light up the night.
Being held on a Saturday this year, the focus is very much on families and groups of friends taking part in this community celebration.
The event offers three courses (3 kilometre, 5 kilometre or 10 kilometre walks), with both the 3 kilometre and 5 kilometre being wheelchair accessible. Each course will include some of Brisbane’s most iconic landmarks including the Wheel of Brisbane, Brisbane River, several beautiful parks and roving entertainment.
Participants are able to take in the views of Brisbane city by night and then return to the park for a picnic dinner with a variety of food trucks available as well as BYO options. As an extra incentive, all participants who raise over AUD500 will receive a branded picnic blanket.
- Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia)
- Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
