There is little separation between Ruby Gilbert’s music and her life, and since the release of her 2018 debut EP ‘Dearly Beloved’, she has been turning heads with her musical prowess. Defined by her flare for the unconventional (both musically and look), Ruby’s lyrics blend contemporary sensibilities with confessional Americana charm, steeped with a good dose of nostalgia.
She has received numerous Queensland Music Award nominations, played prominent festivals and showcases throughout Australia including Gympie Music Muster, Airlie Beach Music Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, BIGSOUND and TEDX, had her music featured on Netflix and ABC, while touring with the likes of C.W. Stoneking, Justin Townes Earle and The Teskey Brothers.
