Roberto is a trumpet player born in the heart of Italy in 1987. His love for music and for mixing different musical cultures, brought him to travel to Europe and to participate in dozens of musical experiments and gigs. A few years ago he moved to Brisbane, a city that he deeply loves and where he performed hundreds of jazz and gypsy jazz gigs.
With his unique approach he created The Roberto Fontana Duo/Trio involving two great musicians and friends, Rodrigo Santiago on the guitar and Benja King on the double bass. The band explores the boundaries between Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Bossa Nova, Latin Music and original compositions.
