Ricardo is a Brazilian 7-string guitarist, vocalist, and cultural ambassador of Choro, Samba & MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) in Australia.
Born in Porto Alegre - Brazil, and currently based in Sydney - Ricardo is a talented, young Brazilian guitarist specialising in the 7 string (violão 7 cordas) acoustic format of this unique instrument. His studies at the Brazilian School of Choro Raphael Rabello in the capital - Brasilia - under the mentorship of virtuoso Fernando César 7 cordas - one of the premier exponents and ambassadors of this instrument (and brother of legendary Hamilton de Holanda) has further developed and deepened the craft of his specialty in the traditional, intricate music of his tropical homeland - Brazil.
This will be his first time performing in Brisbane, joined by special guests, sharing the beauty and history this unique Brazilian-soul sound.
