Mimi & The Cats is gypsy jazz group made up of Brisbane guitarist Miranda Deutsch and a variety of her jazz muso mates. Traversing the swing and latin styles, Mimi & The Cats have that distinct gypsy jazz sound, which originated in Paris in the 1930's and is still swinging today.
Miranda spent fifteen months living in Paris immersed in this music and was lucky enough to be invited on stage with some of the worlds best gypsy jazz guitarists. Mimi & The Cats love to make people move. They bring the fun. They bring the groove.
