Singer-songwriter Milton Arandia was born in Bogota, Colombia, where he studied many instruments including tiple, a traditional plucked-string chordophone of the guitar family. In moving to Brisbane he has started work on his first solo album creating music intended to communicate personal experiences to an audience of many cultures.
His music is often described as a tasteful blend of Latin-American traditional and pop music with a strong influence of Australian rock. From busking at King George Square to performing at the City Welcome Festival at the Brisbane City Hall, Milton has contributed to many events encouraging the cultural development of Brisbane, his loved second home.
