Maira is Brisbane’s dreampop songstress. Weaving sparkling reverb-soaked guitars, punchy drums, and lush airy vocals that float above the noise, Maira tells stories of girlhood and growing up. She’s inspired by girl-rock icons like Beabadoobee, Pale Waves and Nieve Ella, as well as 90s/early 2000s dreampop and shoegaze (think Cocteau Twins). Maira pair's melancholic themes like nostalgia and grief with upbeat, dreamy soundscapes you can get lost in.
After sharing stages with the likes of Lyric, Eliza and the Delusionals, and Bella Amor, Maira is making waves in the Brisbane music scene with her captivating live shows, wrapping her indie-rock-infused dreampop in a lilac bow.
