Brazilian singer Lucia Medeiros moved to Australia in 2006 and in 2012, began a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium, majoring in Jazz Voice. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Lucia brings an unmistakable Brazilian authenticity to her performances. Her warm yet powerful voice, combined with effortless phrasing, a strong rhythmic feel, and gift for storytelling, allows her to move seamlessly through a rich repertoire spanning samba, forró, bossa nova and Música Popular Brasileira (MPB).
With infectious energy, genuine stage presence and a deep connection to Brazil's musical traditions, Lucia creates performances that are both vibrant and heartfelt, inviting audiences to experience the richness, joy and soul of Brazilian music.
