Balancing sweet, soulful and gritty, JESA is an emotive songstress, contemplating the intersections of queerness, advocacy, artistry and the socio-political landscape in which we all exist. Growing up on Bundjalung Country she is deeply inspired by nature, folk music and activism drawing sounds from jazz/pop, neo-soul, and modern blues. Her shows are an invitation to feel big and wide, have uncomfortable conversations and find comfort in her angelic voice, punchy guitar and raw stories. JESA burst onto the music scene going from performing at open mic nights to Bluesfest Byron Bay at 15.
