Hot Girls Don't Poo

9 - 17 OCTOBER 2025

Seven Hills Hub - Backbone Youth Arts

Hot Girls Don't Poo is a bold and unapologetic new comedy-theatre work that smashes taboos, breaks down shame, and celebrates the messy, funny reality of being human.

Created and performed by Brisbane artists Madeline Armit and Tai Kane Potaka, this outrageous and heartfelt show blends clown, toilet humour, and absurd chaos to take audiences on a hilarious ride through the politics of poo, diet culture, and the unrealistic pressures of perfection. With razor-sharp wit and wild physicality, the duo confronts the ridiculous expectations placed on women's bodies.

Set in an absurd world where it has just been made illegal for women to poo, two femme rebels rise up to take on the patriarchy. What unfolds is a riotous mix of rebellion, gross-out comedy, and joyful liberation.

Hot Girls Don't Poo is equal parts feminist theatre and outrageous cabaret. Expect laughter, gasps, and moments of catharsis as the performers peel back the curtain on body shame and invite audiences to embrace the things we usually keep quiet.

Performed as part of Backbone Festival 2025, the show offers both full-scale and intimate performances, giving audiences different ways to experience the madness.

Whether you come for the chaos, the comedy, or the catharsis, one thing's certain: you'll never take pooing for granted.
