Moogerah Peaks National Park

Moogerah Peaks National Park, Moogerah Queensland 4309

Just over an hour from Brisbane, four ancient volcanic peaks in the fertile Fassifern Valley form the Moogerah Peaks National Park. The mounts—French, Greville, Moon and Edwards—are recognised for their unique shapes but revered as a spectacular bushwalking destination.

Set up in one of the camping areas and explore the mountains. Venture through eucalypt woodland, extremely rare brigalow scrub and dry rainforest laced with hoop pines, vines and slender piccabeen palms. Emerge onto rocky summits with montane heath hugging the craggy outcrops and the wind blowing across your face.

Pick from short strolls to rugged tracks to the summits of mounts Edwards and Greville. Make sure you're up to the challenge!

Crack climbing at its best! Chalk up and scale the sheer rock face of world-famous Frog Buttress on Mount French. This is for experienced climbers only!
