If you prefer to set sail to a closer destination, around our diamond cut waters of Moreton Bay. Peel Island is the perfect place to relax, reset, enjoy some water sports & lunch on the water. Swimming, Our large popular sea mat & sea biscuiting behind our tender (small motorised boat) included.
Peel Island is a low lying Island. Tranquil white sandy beach. Situated in the southern half of Moreton bay. Surrounding waters Teem with marine life, including dolphins, dugong, turtles & sometimes whales in the winter.
Peel Island is rich in history, once used as a quarantine station, leper colony & asylum. The Island is known to the Quandamooka people as Teerk Roo Ra & was used for ceremonial purposes.
Popularity remains high, as it can only be accessed by water craft.

Here is a little history. In 1963, 15 ships were intentionally sank by the Qld Government to create a break wall for small boats which were island hopping.
Over time the shipwrecks have become a natural eco -system for vibrant marine life & memorable snorkelling destination. Home to Dolphins, Sea Turtles, Wobbegongs & sometimes whales in the winter.
We host all events, special occasions & ceremonies.
