This dog-friendly market has a variety of up to 120 stalls including crafts, jewellery, fashion, candles, homewares, preserves and fresh produce. Still, it is perhaps best known for the incredible range of indoor and outdoor plants on offer.

Green thumbs can discover everything from rare orchids to cacti and succulents, and myriad other varieties – and vendors are generally up for a chat about their gardening insights!

An entire section of the weekly market is dedicated to second-hand and collectible treasures.

Food and drink stalls and children’s activities complete the scene.

A market spokeswoman said the event is geared as a fun day out for families and attracts regulars from across the greater Ipswich region and beyond.

Run by the Ipswich Show Society, proceeds from this market support the upkeep and upgrading of the showgrounds at 81 Warwick Rd, Ipswich. Entry is by gold coin donation.
