ROMA STREET PARKLAND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

City Parklands Services is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors to Roma Street Parkland. For public safety and comfort, the following Conditions of Entry apply:

- Conduct causing public nuisance is not permitted – this includes being drunk, disorderly or creating a disturbance
- Children are to be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times
- All visitors must comply with signage and directions from security officers and parkland management
- Cyclists, rollerbladers and users of personal mobility devices must limit speed to 10 km/h and comply with all rules detailed in relevant legislation
- No bicycles, scooters or personal mobility devices are permitted in the Spectacle Garden in Colin Campbell Place
- No audible noise before 7am or after 10pm, Monday to Saturday or before 8am or after 10pm on Sundays.

The following activities are not permitted at Roma Street Parkland:
- littering or disposal of domestic waste
- damaging property or using facilities outside of their intended purpose
- camping or sleeping
- consumption of alcohol or smoking outside of designated areas
- fishing or swimming in waterways or the Lake
- religious or political activities
- pegging/staking into lawns
- attaching items to parkland infrastructure or trees
- disposal of ice or hot water on lawns or garden beds
- feeding or handling wildlife
- distribution of leaflets, soliciting hawking or spruiking
- use of portable cooking devices/gas stoves or open fires or candles or generators
- organised sporting activities or ball games. No studded footwear
- High risk activities endangering individuals or parkland visitors
- Unauthorised commercial activities.

Authorisation is required from City Parklands for the following activities:
- vehicle access to the parklands
- conducting surveys and ambush marketing
- selling or promoting goods
- filming or professional photography
- flying of drones
- busking
- events and activations, including regular activities by groups or individuals
- peaceful assembly or procession in accordance with the Peaceful Assembly Act 1992
- All other animals being brought into the parkland.

Domestic animals in Roma Street Parkland
- Cats and dogs must be on-leash and under effective control at all times
- No animals are permitted in the Spectacle Garden in Colin Campbell Place. Assistance animals excepted
- Owners are required to clean up after animals, including collecting and disposing of waste in the appropriate waste receptacles
- Control dog barking
- Exercise due consideration for others, i.e. no anti-social loud behaviour and comply with all
signage.

CCTV Surveillance
Activity may be recorded on CCTV.

Liquor Act 1992 Section 173C, Designation of public places where liquor may be consumed, Dedicated to a better Brisbane
Brisbane City Council will suspend the designation of the following public areas as places where liquor may be consumed on Saturday 8 July 2023 and Sunday 9 July 2023 between the hours of 10am and 8pm.
• Celebration Lawn, Roma Street Parkland
• Lakeside Precinct, Roma Street Parkland
