Getting to Roma Street Parkland

A 15 minute walk from the city, Roma Street Parkland is conveniently located beside Roma Street train and bus station and Brisbane Coach Terminal. There are also a range of car parks nearby. Read on to determine the best way to get to the Parkland.

Car parking

Roma Street Parkland Car Park

Roma Street Parkland has an onsite car park, located just off College Close. Easy to access and conveniently located, it offers some of the cheapest parking near the CBD, with 12 hours parking for just $16 on weekdays and only $12 on weekends. There are two zones, with pricing and parking hours as follows:

Monday to Friday

  • Green zone: Park up to four hours for $4.05/hr with a price cap of $16  
  • Blue zone: Park for up to 12 hours for $4.05/hr with a price cap of $16

Weekends

  • Green and blue zone: Park for up to 12 hours for $2.10/hr with a price cap of $12

All parking can be paid for via the CellOPark app. Alternatively, there is an onsite parking meter for parking in the green zone only. Please note that there are disabled parking bays located in the car park.

Public transport

Roma Street Parkland is accessible by both train and bus. Roma Street train and bus station and Brisbane Coach Terminal are located directly beside the Parkland (access is via lower ground level). Taxis and ride sharing

The closest taxi rank to the Parkland is located at the Brisbane Coach Terminal. Simply advise your driver to drop you off or collect you on Parkland Boulevard. They can gain entry via Wickham Terrace or Roma Street.

Coach drop-off and parking

Celebration Vista located on Parkland Boulevard, provides a set down location for coaches. Unfortunately, there is no coach parking at Roma Street Parkland, unless pre-booked for groups visiting the Parkland. Coach parking is available on Albert Street. Cycling and bicycle racks

The main bikeway that can be used to access the Parkland is the Normanby Cycleway Link and ride all the way along Parkland Boulevard and then out onto Roma Street. Please note that once you’re in the Parkland, all pathways and roads are shared with pedestrians, so use caution when cycling.

The only space that bicycles are not permitted is in the Spectacle Garden in Colin Campbell Place.
