Embark on a magical quest through Brisbane City from 1-24 December with your young ones this Christmas. Follow the holiday cheer and you may just stumble across 14 festive Tiny Doors that are waiting to be discovered by keen-eyed elves. If you’re struggling to hunt them down - here are a few clues!
Start your mystical adventure in Post Office Square, a lush green space in the middle of The City, perfect to stop and have some lunch. While you sit and enjoy, let the kids run and find the first tiny door hiding amongst a garden bed.
Make your way to King George Square, it's easy to find, all you have to do is look for Brisbane’s biggest Christmas Tree. While you're here, don't miss the official Lighting of the Christmas Tree on 28 November and the City Hall Lights from 5 December. What else lives here? That’s right, a tiny door.
Skip over the road to Queen Street Mall where there’s a total of seven tiny doors just waiting to be discovered! Forage under the fig trees and garden beds, follow the Christmas jingles to the Queens Street Mall Stage, stop by the Visitor Information Centre and try not to get wet at the water fountain. Don’t forget to look towards the intersection near Hungry Jack's and down towards Edward and Albert Streets. Each door is unique in its Christmas offering and photo opportunity, but all must be found!
As you continue to make your way through Queen Street Mall you can find even more hidden doors inside The City’s shopping centres. Search level one of Uptown, the lower ground floor of QueensPlaza, the entrance to Wintergarden and on the outside walls of MacArthur Central. Whilst you’re here, why not take the time to do a little Christmas gift shopping or discover Uptown’s Candy Coated Christmas Windows?
Last, but certainly not least, make your way to Queen’s Wharf where a special door is tucked away on level four. If you have timed your visit just right, you’ll be able to shop at the Queens Wharf Festive Markets, watch a Christmas movie under the stars, or watch the sensory delight of Sono Lumo.
